Recipe: Chocolate & Pumpkin Cake

Ingredients
step 1:
– 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp ground cinnamon
– ½ tsp pumpkin spice
– ½ tsp salt
step 2:
– ¾ cup butter softened
– 1½ cup sugar
– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
– 2 eggs
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
step 3:
– 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin
step 4:
– 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chip
-½ cup pecans pieces (TJ’s roasted is awesome)
step 5:
– 2 oz unsweetened chocolate
-½ cup pecans pieces
step 6:
– 4oz semi sweet chocolate
– 1 oz unsweetened butter

Steps explained:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

  1. measure dry ingredients into a bowl
  2. Using a mixer cream butter and sugar. Add one egg at a time and vanilla into the mix.
  3. add dry ingredients and pumpkin to mixer bowl. Mix until combined
  4. put half of the mixture in a different bowl, and add to it chocolate chips and pecans. when mixed pore in pan. using a spatula even the layer.
  5. melt chocolate and using mixer combine with other half of dough. Pore into pan on top of previous layer. BAKE for 65 mins.
  6. After cake cooled down, melt chocolate and butter in microwave. Mix well. Pore on top of cake.
